Welcome to my blog
You are probably wondering what this website is all about and what I am trying to achieve …
Certainly, I want to promote my books and educate anyone who wishes to learn about CFS/ME, but also I want to encourage discussion on the topics highlighted in both my fictional and fact-based pieces.
In my view, it is only through sharing knowledge and experience that we can achieve true understanding of the world around us, learning how to manage and even succeed within it while living harmoniously.
I invite you to join the conversation by posting comments, or if you prefer contacting me directly via email. I really do want to hear your opinion to improve my own awareness and understanding, helping to refine my knowledge and experience.
My Request: Please respect the views of others and do not use abusive language or make offensive remarks. Although I sincerely believe this will not be necessary, rest assured that I will take the necessary action to remove any such comments, in the unlikely event that they appear.
My intention is to educate and create dialogue, but not offend.
HPA Dysfunction
In my previous post I explained that the CFS/ME sufferer is usually in a persistent state of ‘fight or flight’, even though most like me in the early days would argue that I don’t actually feel stressed - sure, I am concerned that I don’t feel very well and my anxiety has increased because none of the medical professionals I have consulted seem to know why?
CFS / ME Condition Evolution
Let’s start with the name. For most I guess ‘Chronic Fatigue Syndrome’ would seem to be fairly descriptive, sufferers feel tired most of the time. Oh, if only it was a simple as that, the solution would also be simple, improve your quality of sleep and hey presto!
